Whether you are our guest at the Uilenburg apartment or one of the two apartments on Lange Putstraat, you will find yourself in the heart of the historic city centre. Our centuries-old fortified city has everything to make your stay pleasant and memorable. This includes restaurants where culinary indulgence awaits you, unique boutiques on winding streets, well-known chain stores – as you would expect – Bossche museums where you can get inspired, whisper boats and larger canal boats that allow you to experience the city from the water. We love ‘s-Hertogenbosch and because we want you to enjoy the city as much as we do, we would like to share some addresses from our little black book. These are our recommendations.
Food & Drinks
Restaurant Citrus
In the middle of the Burgundian heart of ‘s-Hertogenbosch on the Lange Putstraat, you will find the restaurant Citrus. Citrus is distinctively different, but above all unique. Fine dining with that unmistakable Citrus twist. Refined flavours, pure, honest and varied.
Bistro Tante Pietje
“Kees and Marloes” We eat and drink every day, but we like to turn this daily necessity into a celebration for you, so that you can share our love of delicious food and fine wines.
Allerlei Visserij
In 1974, Bistro Allerlei & Restaurant de Visserij merged to form Allerlei Visserij (All Kinds of Fishery). These two beautiful buildings, dating back to 1687, are still a household name in and far beyond ‘s-Hertogenbosch. Together, they are known as a high-quality fish and meat restaurant with an extensive beer and wine list.
Auberge De Veste
The kitchen brigade, which has experience at the Michelin-star level, knows how to prepare daily fresh seasonal dishes with a culinary flair. The combinations are somewhat daring and at a gourmet level.
Pizza Deeg
At Pizzabar Deeg ‘s-Hertogenbosch they have a passion for pizza! A lovely fresh spot in the centre of ‘s-Hertogenbosch.

Taste the world as you have never tasted it before. With a delicious international global menu, daily fresh specialties and unique flavour combinations, eating out in ‘s-Hertogenbosch is a genuine experience.

Do
Boat trip
The Binnendieze is the river that runs through the centre of Den Bosch. You can sail along and under the old fortifications in a whisper boat (silent electric boat). You can purchase tickets online at bezoekdenbosch.nl and then step aboard at the Molenstraat (near the Uilenburg apartment). There are a number of available routes. We recommend the Hieronymus Bosch route, which combines sailing with an exhibition by the artist in the Hieronymus Bosch Art Centre.
Walking route
Just outside the city, in the Moerputten nature reserve, you will find the Bruggenroute (6 km). Park on Deutersestraat and walk via the old railway bridge, the grasslands and over a wooden footbridge through a real swamp. The views are varied and also fun for children.
Museums
Be amazed and inspired by the wonderful museums of ‘s-Hertogenbosch with their history, art and design. Visit the Noordbrabants Museum, for example (also a great place for lunch and coffee), the Hieronymus Bosch Art Centre and Design Museum Den Bosch.
Parking
Private car park
The apartments on Lange Putstraat have their own private parking space.
Ask about the options.
Booked one of our apartments? Parking within walking distance is possible in one of the public car parks. For example, in the De Wolvenhoek parking garage in the city centre. Or in the Sint Jan parking garage, which is very spacious.
